Addiction to drugs and alcohol is a worldwide problem that effects millions of individuals and their families. This escalating issue is as devastating and confusing for the person suffering as it is for their families and loved ones.
The World Health Organisation classifies addiction as a serious health issue. This means that addiction is not a moral matter – addicts and alcoholics are not ‘bad’, they are just not well, which in turn, means that with the right addiction treatment, addicts can get better and recover. The solution is based on well-researched, established treatment methods that address all aspects of this complex illness. At Seasons Bali we see increasing numbers of addicts and alcoholics seeking recovery because our program really works.
Our effective primary treatment program approaches addiction from a broad perspective based on our team’s own clinical experience and current evidence based research. Addiction and alcoholism affects an individual on the physical, emotional, spiritual and social levels so it follows that all of these must be addressed in order to achieve long lasting freedom from drugs and alcohol.
Detox is frequently the first step on the path to recovery and our team at Seasons has a wealth of experience in assisting clients through withdrawal from a wide range of different substances. We provide onsite 24 hour care and all clients are comprehensively assessed by our experienced medical team on arrival and any detox program is then finalised and approved. Additionally we provide supplementary support for clients with a dual diagnosis through our experienced team of the best doctors, psychiatrists and addiction specialists.
An Effective Evidence Based Program
The proven and holistic treatment program at Seasons Bali is carefully structured according to the needs of the individual client and fully supervised. Treatment modalities include, but are not limited to: Mindfulness Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Trauma work, Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, Process Groups, 12 Step Facilitation Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Experiential Skills Training around interpersonal communication, assertiveness and developing and maintaining healthy boundaries.
These emotional and psychological therapies are further complimented and supported by other activities such as yoga, meditation, art and drama therapy, beach exercise, massage and nutrition as well as recreational outings and personal time. All of which help connect the addict to themselves and the world around them.
The program is delivered by a team of dedicated, professional staff, most of whom are in recovery themselves. This means they know exactly what residents are going through and fosters an attitude of caring and understanding which permeates the therapeutic environment, creating a safe place for growth and change.

How Long is The Primary Recovery Program?
The best chance of success, statistically and the recommended length of stay for our primary recovery program is 90 days. However, we understand that this is not always possible so we also offer 28 day and 60 day programs too. Frequently, we have clients who originally sign up for 30 days extending the length of their treatment as they experience first-hand the benefits of their time here.
The Couples Question
Often, it is the case that two people in a relationship both have substance abuse problems and most rehabs are unable to cater for this. We would never recommend two people in a relationship attend the same facility because each individual needs time and space to focus on themselves during the treatment process.
However, the Seasons Group benefits from having two unique centres on the island, Seasons Bali and YMI so we can accommodate couples.
Primary Recovery Treatment is Only the Beginning
Seasons Bali recognises that residential drug and alcohol treatment is only the start of a life time of healthy, happy living and therefore provides wide-ranging aftercare choices. This includes transitional housing, outpatient services, ongoing counselling and help finding accommodation to stay near to your recovery network should you chose to stay in Bali for a time after completing treatment.
Addiction and alcoholism effects not only the person directly suffering from these problems but also negatively impacts family relationships. At Seasons Bali we offer an additional week long program for families or significant others to help heal these rifts and for both parties to learn how to support each other in a different way thereby creating a new healthy dynamic.
Our amazing location, affordability and high success rate attracts clients from all over the world and have helped establish our reputation as one of the world’s premier addiction treatment centres.
